Paypal Pending Review IPN - Sandbox or LIVE

Question :

I am using the PayPal IPN feature but I keep getting _POST[payment_status] = Pending when I make a test using the Sandbox. Because of that, I can't test the full purchase to make sure the whole process works properly.

Solution :

If you are using sandbox, open developer.paypal.com->Dashboard->Accounts->facilitator@yourhost.com->Profile->Settings. Set 'Payment review' to 'Off'

Paypal Payment Status Pending -- Paypal

Here is the problem:

User makes payment - ok

User returns to my website succesfully - ok

After a few seconds PayPal calls my website using IPN - ok

My class successfully validate incoming IPN data.

PayPal returns "payment_status: Pending"

I don't know why PayPal IPN calls back with the payment status of "pending"?

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Solution:

When you're logged into your test business account, manually navigate to:

Check Your Sandbox

You would normally be able to get there by going through your "My Business Setup" but currently it redirects to PayPal live (despite being in the sandbox).

Once you're on that page, change "Block payments sent to me in a currency I do not hold" to "No, accept them and convert them to ..."

Also, don't forget to confirm your business account using the PayPal Sandbox front-end and "Test Email" section of the API.

Upload Image to Website - Fantastic PHP script

This should do it:

<?php<br /><br />if ($action == "Load")<br /> {<br />  $folder = "home/usr/website/images";<br />  @copy("$filep" , "$folder/$filep_name");<br />  echo "<br><p align=center>File <b><i>$filep_name</i></b> loaded...";<br />  <br />  $result = mysql_connect("mysql_host", "mysql_user", "mysql_password") <br />          or die(""<b>Could not save image name</b><p> Error: " . mysql_error());<br /><br />  @mysql_select_db("mysql_database") or die("Could not select database");<br />  @mysql_query("INSERT into mysql_table (mysql_table_field) VALUES('$filep_name')");<br />  if($result) { echo "<b>Image name saved into database</b><p>"; }<br />   <br /> }<br /><br />?><br /><br /><html><br /><body><br /><head><br /><title>Load</title><br /></head><br /><p><br /><form action=load.php method=post enctype="multipart/form-data"><br /><table border="0" cellspacing="0" align=center cellpadding="3" bordercolor="#cccccc"><br />     <tr><br />                 <td>File:</td><br />                 <td><input type="file" name="filep" size=45></td><br />          </tr><br />     <tr><br />               <td colspan=2><p align=center><br />          <input type=submit name=action value="Load"><br />               </td><br />     </tr><br /></table><br /></form><br /><br /></body><br /></html>

$folder > Should be the absolute path to where you want to store your files. - If on Windows then something like: C:\Folder\Images\directory - If on Linux/Unix just as the one that's declared

$filep_name > Will be the image name you want to store in the DB

I wrote this script a long time ago, so you can notice it's written to make use of the enabled globals, to change it you know what you do, I've seen it in your code... ;)
Hope this works for you...
