I have been Using Windows all my life since 1994 Windows 3.0, that was very cute and MacOS was ugly & was in its infancy stage of development. Always hated Mac for its PRICING & REVERSE KEYBOARD & Interface.

Reculently I bought 1st MacBook Air for Mobile development in 2019 after 25 years as developer.

What would I say? I HATE WINDOWS TODAY

If you are worried about 100% Harddisk utilization in Windows 10 possiblities are

unwanted programs running
unwanted network process
Windows Update or Chrome Update
Anti-Virus running all the time

How to optimize harddisk utilization

Stop all unnecessary programs running
stop all unnecessary windows services
Uninstall unwanted softwares
run disk defragmention once in a while
remove %TEMP File%

If all these dont work - SIMPLE WAY IS TO

Restart Your Laptop or Desktop
Leave you PC for 10 minutes till it load all utilities
open TASK MANAGER - END TASK all unwanted programs
LEAVE YOUR PC for ANOTHER 10 MINS & ENJOY A CUP OF COFFEE
and there you go, PC or Laptop runs below 10% HDD utilization till end of the day
